Green Mono
The urgency of the desire to go "green" is everywhere, including the world of printmaking. Who could have imagined that the embrace of non-toxic printing inks would provide the impetus for so many new and inventive techniques, and additionally, their corresponding abundance of brilliant and translucent effects? March introduces a month-long exhibit at Muse Gallery, with specific focus on new abstract monotypes by regional print artists, including Mitch Lyons, Anne Caramanico, Pia De Girolamo, Christine Stoughton, as well as other gallery artists. In addition to demonstrations of of clay monotype printmaking techniques, other unique and intriguing monotype processes will be introduced. MUSE Gallery is the oldest artist-run gallery in Philadelphia.
