C.R. Ettinger Studio
Selections from C.R. Ettinger Studio
The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts will host an exhibition of prints made between 2000 and 2010 by The C.R. Ettinger Studio, the Philadelphia print studio specializing in etchings. Included will be more than fifty works by approximately twenty-five contemporary artists who employ a cross-section of styles and techniques demonstrating the versatility of the etching medium today. The exhibition highlights the stylistic evolution of several artists as they explore the possibilities and forms of expression offered by printmaking while collaborating with Ettinger over a number of years. Straightforward etchings will be juxtaposed with numerous multi-media prints that successfully integrate new technology as an experimental tool while remaining true to the etching medium itself.
