About the Center for Emerging Visual Artists
The mission of The Center for Emerging Visual Artists™ (CFEVA™) is to coordinate a stronger regional support system for visual artists, to advance the careers of the many deserving artists in the region, to promote relationships between artists and the communities in which they live, and to increase access to visual art for everyone.
Founded in Philadelphia in 1983, The Center for Emerging Visual Artists™ (CFEVA) strives to coordinate a stronger regional support system for visual artists, to advance the careers of the many deserving artists in the region, to promote relationships between artists and the communities in which they live, and to increase access to visual art for everyone. We work to meet these goals through our three main programs: the Career Development Program Fellowship, the Regional Community Arts Program, and Philadelphia Open Studio Tours. Our Philagrafika exhibition features noteworthy artists who are or have been fellows in our Career Development Program.
