Confluence celebrates the possibilities and complexities of the printmaking worlds of Bobbie Adams, Rachel Citrino, and Linda Dubin Garfield. They employ traditional and contemporary technologies using multiple and iterative processes. The convergence of these artists is their obsession with and love of mark-making.  

Text/Textile

This exhibit at Da Vinci Art Alliance aims to complement  various citywide exhibits happening in conjunction with Philagrafika 2010. Participating artists for "TEXT/TEXTILE" were encouraged to think text, grid, language, words, script, graphics; and think texture, technique, tradition, innovation!!!

As curator,  K. Pannepacker wants to represent what is happening in Philadelphia's own studios within the context of this specific challenge: text/textile. Studio artists, teaching artists, student artists, professional artisans, and exquisite crafters all inclined to find & create a link with the concept/context of text/textile were invited to submit work, from which she chose select pieces for this salon-style exhibition.

About Da Vinci

Da Vinci Art Alliance is one of the oldest artist-run galleries in the region. Founded in 1931 by 17 prominent artists, it has been housed across from the Fleisher Art Memorial for over 50 years.
