Check website for complete programs.

One Book, One Philadelphia, is a citywide initiative that promotes reading, literacy, and libraries by encouraging the entire city to read and discuss the same book. Over the course of the program period, more than 100 Persepolis inspired events are held both in libraries and jointly with community partners throughout the city. In this graphic novel, Satrapi uses powerful black-and-white images to chronicle her memoire of growing up during the Islamic revolution.

Many of the One Book, One Philadelphia programs will celebrate the graphic arts.
